In the Second World War, Adolf Hitler’s Panzer Armies, commanded General Gerd von Rundstedt, are described in tours of locations prominent in the surprise airborne attack upon Fort d’Eben-Emael, General Erwin Rommel’s crossing of the Meuse River at Dinant, and General Heinz Guderian’s forcing of the Meuse River in the battle of Sedan. Other tours include sites in and around Calais where Lord Gort’s British Expeditionary Force bravely delayed the German advance and Dunkerque which reviews the site of the miraculous evacuation of 338,000 British and French troops while under German Luftwaffe attack.
