Chapter 3. French Revolution and Napoleon
The tour describes the little recognized but historically significant battlefield at Valmy, east of Reims, where French revolutionary patriots led by General Kellermann withstood the cannon of the invading Prussian Army of the Duke of Brunswick. The world famous and well-preserved grounds of the battle of Waterloo are toured providing a review of Field Marshal Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington’s, famous victory over the Grande Armée of Napoleon Bonaparte.
